Tapia biome Evolution

The goal of the project is to use DNA (353 target loci for Angiosperms) to infer the evolutionary family tree (phylogeny) of characteristic clades across Malagasy biomes to infer biome dynamics along the branches of the phylogeny.

My role

I started the PhD in October 2025 at Stockholm University (SU) and will be working on this until October 2029. I’m supervised by Ass. Prof. Jan Hackel (SU), Prof. Catarina Rydin (SU), and Prof. Sylvain Razafimandimbison (Swedish Natural History Museum). My role involves all steps from funding acquisition to publication.
