Tapia biome Evolution

The goal of the project is to use DNA (353 target loci for Angiosperms) to infer the evolutionary family tree (phylogeny) of characteristic clades across Malagasy biomes to infer biome dynamics along the branches of the phylogeny.

Past Projects

BEAST Project

BEAST stands for ‘Biodiversity dynamics across a continuum of space, time, and their scales’. The project PI is Petr Keil (FZP, Czech University of Life Sciences) and it’s an ERC-funded consolidator project (2023-2027).

GRACE Project

GRACE stands for ‘GRAssland Communities Experiment (GRACE): 300 years of insight from a large-scale natural experiment’. This is a 3-year project (2024-2026). GRACE is a joint grant from the Austrian FWF and Czech GACR, with co-PIs Adam Clark (University of Graz) and Petr Keil (CZU, Prague), and cooperation partners Franz Essl at Uni.
